Have you had your tubes tied and begun having several different tubal ligation side effects? Is your life a misery with you suffering from post syndrome ailments while it seems like everyone around you has no clue what is going on? Well, you should not worry any longer. You are suffering from such side effects, you are not alone, and there is a way out.

Here you can quickly learn what happened to Andrea, another sufferer just like you. At the time this article is being written, she has four children and is thirty-one. Three years ago, during the birth of her fourth child, she had her tubes tied. This was against her doctors advice. Her husband even cautioned against it.

Just like you, she soon began to notice all kinds of new things happening to her body. At first, she thought it was because she regretted the tubal ligation and that each ailment by itself was not so threatening. However, she began keeping a journal of each new symptom and realized all the symptoms together made a frightening whole.

She had cyclical migraines with nausea and vomiting, could not lose extra weight from pregnancy even with diet and exercise, erratic emotions, and extremely dry skin. In addition, she would have mid-cycle cramping and then terrible cramping during her period. This latter cramping nearly brought her to tears though she says she has a high pain threshold. Not only did she begin to spot outside her normal period, the bleeding would be so severe her doctor suspected she had menstrual anemia. Indeed, the bleeding was so severe, it caused her to leave in the middle of church because she was too weak and nauseated.

As most of us would, Andrea turned to her ob/gyn and family doctors for help and advice. Both of them told her that having your tubes tied can lead to painful heavy periods. At least her doctors admitted it. Her family doctor even went so far as to tell her that the doctor had heard of numerous cases of women having severe problems after a tubal ligation. Andrea had all sorts of tests done to rule out any other possibilities such as endometriosis, cancer or cysts but got a clean bill of health. She began looking into getting a tubal reversal for the tubal ligation side effects.

Although Andrea found many doctors in her region, including her own, that would perform a tubal reversal, she was not satisfied. Turned out the even as far away as Seattle from her home in Idaho, she could not find one doctor who maintained his/her own statistics regarding post syndrome and tubal reversal success rates. Furthermore, the price she was quoted was $12,000. For less than that, she could go to Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center and have the surgery done by one of the world’s foremost tubal reversal doctors. This included the airplane tickets and hotel stay.

Andrea decided to make that flight and had her surgery done in July of 2008. Right away her tubal ligation side effects reduced. The headaches and pain are gone. Of course, a different kind of pain could come back in early summer next year. She got pregnant within two months of the operation and is very happy. But even with her short time before doing so, she was already going back to the way she was before having her tubes tied.

So, you see you are not alone in suffering from these tubal ligation side effects and that there is a way to reduce them or have them gone. Consider getting a tubal reversal yourself and see just how much it can help you.

by Paul Jason James

Many parents approach potty training with the same enthusiasm they would have for gum surgery; it’s a necessary evil to be tolerated. It doesn’t have to be all drudgery though if you use a little creativity to make it interesting for everyone.

When To Get Creative

Certainly, if you are already in the potty training process and things aren’t going especially well, getting creative is better than getting frustrated. You don’t have to wait until you’re at that point though. Using some creative ideas to introduce the potty training concept to your child can prevent resistance.

Introducing the Idea

If potty training is your child’s idea (or he thinks it is) the entire process becomes easier. A few thoughtfully planted comments about big kids using the potty and little kids wearing diapers can spark your child’s desire to be one of the big kids and have him asking you to help him learn to use the potty.

Creating Ownership

Let your child be part of the potty training advice planning process. Take him shopping with you and let him choose his own big boy underwear and stickers to use on his potty training success chart if you use one.

Rewarding Success

Some parents are reluctant to give rewards for potty training success because they feel the child is only doing what he’s supposed to do anyway. Others have great success with potty training charts where a child places a sticker each time he uses the potty with a small reward being earned for every few stickers.

Rewarding children for good behavior reinforces the behavior. Rewards don’t have to be candy or snacks and are better if they aren’t.

A trip to the park, an extra story at bedtime, special recognition for an accident-free day all work to motivate the child to do well again.

By spending a little time thinking of creative ways to potty train your child, you make the process more interesting and less of a chore for everyone.

One of the exciting parts of expecting a new baby is setting up the nursery. Purchasing a crib is usually the first and most important choice you will be making. But, if this is your first time shopping for a crib, you may need a few tips to sort through the many choices.

Decide what price range you can afford before you go shopping. If your budget is low, don’t worry, you can still find a crib that fits your style and budget. In this case, you will need to watch the sales, which works if you start shopping early, or you can buy a gently used crib. Just remember, if you buy a used crib, more than likely the warranties will be expired. A new crib will run anywhere from a hundred dollars on sale to several hundred dollars, so have a maximum dollar amount in mind that you are comfortable with.

The style of crib that you like may change from day to day as you explore the baby crib market. There are many shapes and sizes to choose from, so be sure to measure the nursery before shopping. Styles include traditional rectangle Cribs, Round Cribs, and Lifetime Cribs that will change to accommodate your child into adulthood. Also, each model of crib will come with different options. So, be sure to ask about drop-down sides, mattress height adjustments, and if the crib will change into a toddler bed.

With every crib you look at, you must ask if it contains formaldehyde. Children have been diagnosed with allergies, asthma, and some cancer from being exposed to this chemical. The air in your home could be contaminated if you bring nursery items in that emit a level of formaldehyde. Avoid items made of raw medium density fiberboard and other types of composite wood if the label does not specify No Formaldehyde. Your baby’s well being is worth the time to ask about the materials used in the manufacturing process of the crib.

Being prepared with a budget, measurements, a general idea about style, and the right questions can make shopping for a crib go much smoother. Find a sales representative and Ask, Ask, Ask. That is what they are there for. They might not be able to answer all your questions, but they will know where to look to find the answer. The time and effort will be worth it once your new baby is peacefully sleeping in a beautiful, yet safe crib.

Are you one of those people who loves what they do? Do you wake up in the morning and look forward to going to work? Then you are one of the lucky ones. Most of us dread Monday mornings and upon receiving our paychecks wonder if it is even worth it. Of course, if we’d just gone to school for a few more years then perhaps we would be in our dead end jobs. These days there are many older people out there who are considering a return to work to upgrade their skills or get the education they need to get their dream career.

It’s easy to see the benefits of completing a University degree program. For one, you can apply for much better jobs, and therefore better money. In addition, once you have a great job you advance much faster than your non-degree co-workers. Think about that perfect job that you saw in the paper - you’d be a shoe-in for that job if you had your degree.

Employers love to take a glance at your resume and spot that degree achievement. This lets them know that you’re serious about acquiring a decent career, and are able and willing to work hard. After all, if you’ve devoted four or more years to a University degree program, then you’re probably willing to put forth some effort in the workforce.

When you have a degree you are more confident about your chances of being employed. This reflects in your interviews as the confidence will be evident to your future employer. The best thing about being positive about your future is that most of the time it will bring you positive results.

Whether you are just leaving high school, or if you’ve already attended a reunion, it is never too early or too late to continue your education. There are probably University degree programs in your area. Start today and soon you will reap the rewards of a better education, more job options and higher salaries. This definitely seems worth the effort.

You probably wonder if you are the only one in your area when first starting to think about homeschooling. However, that is not likely with the ever increasing number of homeschooling families. You will need to know where to look to find other homeschoolers, which may not always be easy.

One place you will likely find other homeschoolers is at local churches. Although all homeschoolers aren’t Christians, and it certainly isn’t a requirement to homeschool, many homeschoolers are. If you don’t currently attend services, you might consider attending a couple of services to see if there are homeschoolers at the local church.

Another place to find a homeschooling family, besides churches, would be the public library. The library is used as a source of learning materials for many homeschoolers. If you find children at the library during normal school hours, most likely they are homeschooled and a parent is sure to be nearby. The librarian can be asked if she knows of any homeschoolers because they will be some of her best patrons.

If you take your kids to the park during school hours, you’ll probably run into at least one homeschooling family there enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Or they might be picking up leaves for a nature book, or finding other items to use in a school project. In any case, local parks are a great place to find homeschoolers.

While shopping at the grocery store, you might find a homeschooling family. Many homeschoolers do not depend on books to teach. They rather use real life circumstances. It’s likely to see homeschoolers doing comparison shopping for their math lesson at the meat freezer with their calculators.

Homeschoolers in your area can be found on the Internet. Try using one of the common search engines to search for “homeschool groups (your city).” Include your county and then your state if that doesn’t work. Since there are homeschoolers in every state of the union, surely you’ll find someone close by. Don’t give up if you don’t find anyone locally. You can still use any number of Yahoo homeschooling groups to find support online.

During school hours, don’t be afraid to approach a family when searching for homeschooling families locally. They probably won’t be offended since most homeschoolers are used to being asked why their children aren’t in school. Asking questions is a great way to meet new acquaintances. Keep an eye out for them; you may find there are more homeschoolers in your area than you first thought.

by Danise B. Keasda

Many parents worry about identifying the appropriate time to begin homeschooling their young children. What they do not realize is that quite often they have already begun homeschooling although they may not call it that. When you interact with your infant, talking to her, engaging her, you are homeschooling your child. When you teach your child how to tie his shoes or count to ten, you are homeschooling. Many parents “homeschool” their children without ever realizing it. But what the experts say is so true: education begins at home.

As you can see then, there is no time at which it is too early to begin homeschooling your child. There is more to homeschooling than deciding on some sort of curriculum and then teaching your child. One of the best things about homeschooling is that your child can learn according to their own interests and natural aptitude. As the educator, you have a lot of flexibility to tailor the curriculum to the needs and interests of your child. As parents, we do this naturally; but most of us don’t think to call it homeschooling.

Early homeschooling can be a rewarding experience. You can read books together, count things, visit museums, write stories and simply explore the world around you. Education is far more than what you can get out of a text book; it is about what you can learn about the world from your own observations and experiences within it.

Interact with your child; as you do so, see what your child is interested in. This can help you to tailor your curriculum and assist your child in setting goals for themselves. You can see what kind of pace is suitable for your child and will keep them interested in learning. Homeschooling is something all parents do; official homeschooling is nothing more than an expansion of this strategy which helps parents to prepare their children for life.

As you continue on your course to homeschool your child, you will find that the groundwork that you laid early on, long before you made any conscious effort to actually homeschool, will be very evident in the things that your child does. The things that you did naturally as a parent laid a very important path to future learning for your child. When you taught her to sing her ABC’s or you helped him write a letter to grandma, you were laying a solid foundation for future learning. You were paving the way for your child’s education and love of learning. The greatest mark of a good education is when a child can utilize what they learn in real life situations.

We as a society are used to some conventions about education ? for example, children starting kindergarten at five and graduate high school at eighteen. A lot of parents choose homeschooling to let their children learn at their own pace instead. Maybe a better question is not when you should begin homeschooling your child but what the next step is ? as you can see, you’ve already started.

Top School Graduate, Top Honors In Life!

If you’re a high school junior or senior, you might be wondering how much of a difference going to a top ranked college really makes. Should you put in the extra time and effort to maintain a higher GPA so you’ll be able to get into an elite school, or can you afford to back off a bit and enjoy what’s supposed to be the best years of your life? After all, as long as you get a degree from somewhere, you’ll be set. Right?

Later on, of course, they do come to realize that the school, or rather college, also makes a difference! This is when they are job-hunting. Ask any prospective employers whom would they choose, and a majority of them will answer that they would like to go for those who have graduated from top class schools and colleges. Lesser known colleges or even unknown colleges come second on their lists. These graduates are also given higher salaries over their counterparts. Articles in newspapers may state that if you get an MBA degree, you might make anything up to $100,000 a year. What they forget to mention is that those who do so have to be graduates from the Universities of Pennsylvania or Harvard or Northwestern. Thus, a little pain is definitely worth it, if one wants to gain!

Now, various sources rank schools in varied ways. A youngster planning his/her future would be well advised to check them out thoroughly before deciding to aim for any one of them. Additionally, there is competition among the colleges themselves; so their rankings keep changing year after year. The reasons for these changes could be myriad–the teaching faculty is not up to the mark, the college lacks funds to carry on further activities or the academic courses offered are too few to attract many students. Sometimes, the ranking order changes for reasons that are not so important to the general public, but for the fact that they do not suit a certain system in ranking. Thus, the explanations for rank order changes that are displayed by the source explanations should be perused in depth, so that there is better understanding of how these rankings were arrived at and the factors causing these changes.

Many students ask whether it’s better to go to a top ranked college that’s higher in overall ratings or that’s higher in the particular subject area that they wish to study. For example, Yale might have the highest cumulative rating out of all schools in a given year, but MIT might have the highest rating for engineering programs. If you’re fairly certain that you want to be an engineer, then by all means, you should go to the top ranked college in that discipline. But if you think there’s a chance you might change your major halfway through your sophomore year, then going to a school that scores well in cumulative ratings would be the better choice.

A national magazine lists out all the schools and colleges in their ranking order. Every year, a whole issue is devoted to this cause. A student can also look at the annual school guides or books or the World Web. The rankings should be the most recent ones.

Getting into a top ranked college won’t be easy, but you’ll be able to reap the benefits for a lifetime. So put in the extra effort, keep an eye on the rankings, and go for the brass ring.

Contrary to popular belief, a tubal ligation reversal is possible. Although, many women are told that having their tubes tied is a permanent form of female sterilization, this is just not true. While a tubal reversal may not be the best answer for all women wanting to undo tubal ligation, it is the answer for many women.

Once a woman has gone through whatever type of tubal surgery she has, she may end up feeling like she made a bad decision. For some, this happens very quickly. For others, it comes later as her life circumstances change. For yet others, it is because they cannot handle the symptoms of Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome.

Regardless of what the reason may be, the procedure needs to be undone. And many women are gratified to learn that tubal ligation is not irreversible, no matter what they have been told. You just have to have a tubal ligation reversal surgery.

The fact is that The Learning Channel has even done a report on this tubal reversal surgery. The report follows Debra who was 37 years old at the time she decided she wanted a reversal.

Like some women, Debra had her tubal done near the end of a failing marriage. She really doubted that with three children and things falling apart, she would want more. But the fairytale happened and she met a wonderful new man and got married. The two of them wanted to have children of their own to add to their family.

The Learning Channel report follows Debra as she gets her tubal ligation reversal. She felt good after the surgery and was even putting up a fence doing some digging a week later. The best news was that she was pregnant within a short period of time, even at her age, if you are wondering about that.

While there are several factors that affect the successful outcome of a tubal reversal, you can see from this report that it is indeed possible. Check out the website listed below for statistics concerning the different factors as they affect success. With the majority of women, the surgery can be a success.

So, now you’ve learned that a tubal is not necessarily a permanent thing for majority of women. Even The Learning Channel did a report on tubal ligation reversal with the world’s leading tubal reversal doctor. Click that link for a free video and learn a bit about Debra’s story. Maybe one day, you can answer the question about whether or not having your tubes tied is a permanent thing or not.

When you begin looking around for a tubal ligation reversal doctor, you may have many questions about how you can possibly choose which one is the best. Among several factors you can look at, there is also patient satisfaction. But that is only one, so let's take a look at a few others first.

When you begin looking around for a tubal ligation reversal doctor, you may have many questions about how you can possibly choose which one is the best. Among several factors you can look at, there is also patient satisfaction. But that is only one, so let’s take a look at a few others first.

Maybe the first thing many women and their significant others look at is the price tag. Just how much will this tubal ligation reversal operation cost you? As you can find around the Internet, the cost can vary from $3500 to $30,000. But don’t get fooled into thinking that a lower price gets you a less experienced or talented doctor. Neither does a higher price tag reflect the quality of that physician.

It would be a very good thing to know about your potential surgeon’s training and background. How many of us actually ask that of the people who want to cut us open? Can you easily find this information out? In this day and age, this should be something you can find by searching the Internet. If not, ask for it. If you meet resistance, perhaps that is you answer.

How about the location where the surgery will be done? Are you going to be in a hospital or a private facility? Is there some type of oversight done into this place or some type of certification done? You will find that sometimes hospitals will be more expensive, even much more expensive, than having the surgery done at a private surgical center.

Of course, your doctor doesn’t do everything for you by himself. He has support people including office staff, nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians. Do you know anything about these people or can you find out? Do the ones you talk with answer your questions politely? Do you even get answers to your questions?

What do other women say about the staff and the care they have received? You can find this out various ways. Does the doctor have a way for you to make a connection with other women like through a message board? Is there any other way to read about patient satisfaction?

Another method of checking on patient satisfaction is to use the available rating websites online. The top one in a search on google for “rate doctor” is RateMDs.com. Look for your potential doctor by name or search through the categories. By name is probably easier. You want to get the overall gist of the comments. Unless there are very few ratings available, there will not be 100% agreement about any doctor. Just like the rest of us, they can have off days and this might be reflected in some of the comments. But is the overall rating fairly high?

One more point would be to consider the number of comments that have been posted. A doctor either has to be pretty good or very bad to encourage a large number of comments. Be sure that any you read have to do with the actual procedure you are considering; in this case, that is tubal ligation reversal.

Look, too, at the testimonials on the surgeon’s website. He does have a website where you can review his surgery statistics and learn more about this procedure, doesn’t he? If not, that just might be a sign there. Most websites are only going to include glowing reports but it is another place you can read the patient satisfaction stories.

Want to hear something that is certain to frighten college-bound students and their parents? After six years of college, just a little more than half of traditional college students have earned a degree.

Some two and four-year colleges lose well over half of their new students within a year and 75% within two years. Students attending Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and similarly selective institutions are retained at a far higher rate. At a few colleges and universities, well over 90% of entering freshmen go on to graduate. But, even students at top colleges…students with seemingly unlimited potential…can flunk out or drop out of college after falling victim to one of the five big mistakes that follow. This article, I hope, will help you to avoid them all.

1. This one is simple…never forget that you are no longer in high school. The most dramatic difference between high school and college is the significant change in the amount and level of work required. If you do not recognize the difference and adapt your work habits accordingly, you will find yourself in a world of trouble.

2. Get at least eight hours of sleep a night. You need it to function well…that is not a myth. So, if you insist on late evenings, do not schedule early classes.

3. Avoid alcohol consumption on evenings preceeding classes, and if you must drink at other times, do so responsibly. Binge drinking and/or drinking to become intoxicated will hurt you on many levels.

4. Studying when you feel like it can be a mistake. A better way is to come up with a daily schedule which incorporates the time you will need to do your day-to-day assignments as well as your bigger papers and projects. A good schedule will mean higher grades and less stress, I promise (but only if you stick to it religiously).

5. Do not cut class. As tempting as it may be, it can only lead to trouble. Go to all of your classes (and take good notes).

These pretty simple suggestions are the key to earning the degree you want. It really is not complicated at all.
